My Life

2 comments :
Fatal, was her smile!

Yes, she was glimmering like a star that came to meet me from so far.

Her eyes wide open and my words im-pa-r-tial.

The gown she wore was beyond any crayon to color!

She came walking to me and said, "Need some more breakfast, honey?" and I said "Yes" to my wife, my life :)

Faith, family and friends

I felt as if there were shadows moving hauntingly towards us.

Impulsively, we walked faster and faster with an intent to flee.

Though we tried to be calm, the fear of death lingered on our faces.

They finally surrounded us and took all our money, but left my family unharmed.

Faith, family and friends; what else do I need and what else do I have?

Memories and Tears

18 comments :

At Pondicherry Beach

I sat there for almost an hour and it would be a mistake if I say that I've stumbled upon that place.

For all the sixty minutes of the time traveled, no tear rolled down my cheek without a memory.

Few were sweet and few bitter.

But the one in those memories was glorious.

I sat there for almost an hour and it would be a mistake if I say that I've stumbled upon that place.

Found No One

Friday Fictioneers - 13 March 2015

I was not sure if I was being vindictive, because I dint even knew her name!

She might have been The Goddess in her world but definitely not mine!

I was feeling almost giddy by the time I ran to her place.

The lewd crowd of people in my path were staring as usual.

Needless to say I went to that place every day, but found no one and returned with nothing.

The mud in my head and the dirt on my pants.

I'm never allowed to bed with the dust on my hands.

There's just sweat and sweat from all my glands.

When Mom asked me, "Show me your hands."

I gave her my hand and said, "Dance, Dance, Dance!!!"

He wasn't

He wasn't villainous at all, but he became one in my life.

He wasn't scary at all, but he scared me to death when I knew he's gone.

He wasn't willing to to be gone, but I knew one day he will.

He wasn't the person I'd love, but he became one.

He wasn't... he just wasn't!

I've tried killing you like a thousand times in my thoughts by now!

I've tried wiping off all your memories from my thoughts by now!

I've tried!

I've tried!

I've 'just' tried because you've abandoned me and must have gone far by now!

Offer he couldn't refuse

I pulled out my gun and made him an offer he couldn't refuse.

He backed off!

Gave me a look.

She thanked all heavens and collected her clothes while I made sure he left.

I then asked, "Mam, are you alright?"

"I was waiting for your call the whole day and I was dying to talk to you!" he said.

"I'm sorry honey, I was surrounded by people in the party and I did not notice the time." I said.

"Right! Surrounded by people." he nodded.

"Honey, I thought of calling you" he took his coat "after reaching home." I tried to explain.

"Good bye!" he said and this time he did not even give me a chance to ask if we can start this fresh.

The cold was blistering and the snow was thick, but still, I've managed to reach the station long before train had to pick.

I was all prepared and all set to flee and the clock ticked as if it just wants see, how my future would be.

The moment has come, so did the train and the phone flashed a message which gave me a lot of pain, "I'm sorry again!"

I've boarded the train and decided to live my life without him.

I left my family for him, I left my friends for him, I should not have trusted him.!

The Love I rejected once

Even a single smile from him would have made me feel better.

I knew it was the last time he could see me, but he behaved as if he was very happy and as if I did not exist at the table.

I knew, I made him feel bad, I knew made him go mad, but then he has chosen to ignore me, completely!!

As minutes passed, he just left the table waving a good bye to all my friends around while the tears left my eyes saying hi to all that guilt he left for me.

"Oh God, who is responsible for all the irritation, all this suffocation!!" I said to myself.

My flight to the Present..!!

2 comments :
She was scary and all I could see is her bleeding torso by the very sight of which I was frightened to death.

I'm not even sure if she has hit me with her spell, but with in few seconds, I was in a another world, I don't know where, with another dimension, time and I could choose to be where with all my hands bare.

I tried hard, really hard to stare and it was me crying as a kid because of my brother and the chocolate he couldn't share.

My life was a dimension lying in front of me and I couldn't decide where to resume while the dark force was still upon me, suppressing my will to rise, my ability to choose, my instincts to decide.

All of a sudden, I can feel someone holding me tight and then I opened my eyes, all sweaty in my bed and the love of my life, holding me tight to wake up from my dream.

All I wanted is Love

Days passed but she never asked anything.

She sat next to me but never said anything.

"How long is this going to happen?" I asked myself.

I went to her and said, "You can ride my bicycle whenever you want :)".

That is how I ended the envy, because All I wanted is Love!

Other side of the sea..

Hours passed and I was still at that beach, lost in my thoughts, lost in my love.

I went back to the past where in , she leaned towards me, held my hand with my fingers between her's and that's the moment when I said to myself, "I'll never let her go".

I loved her a lot, planned to live my entire life with her, married her..!!

But God has sent a completely different train at her platform.

"Dad, Dad, Dad -- can Mommy see us from that side of the sea?", asked our son who shook me from my thoughts and to whom I told that, people who die go to the other side of the sea and return when their kids grow up.

Curry Leaves

5 comments :

"How much is this for?" I asked looking at the final set of curry leaves lying on the cloth.

"Three rupees only" she said, rolling her eyes up with a hope that I'd buy them and she can go home but still confused if she has asked for more for those only leaves left on the piece of cloth.

I took out a five rupee coin from my wallet and handed it to her with a smile and said, "Keep this five, mousi."

I turned around and started moving towards my bike but was confused about how to hang these small carry bags, overfilled with vegetables.

"Son take this, it'll be easy for you to hang all this stuff on your bike" said the woman with a smile on her face and went back to her place, folding the piece of cloth on which she sold the curry leaves.

This is a true story which happened to me, when I went to the vegetable market this afternoon and after this I was speechless for a moment and I then realized and was reassured that love and care are the things which happen to keep coming even if you keep giving. The lady did not have any carry bags at all for giving it to her customers. She has given it to me by emptying all her belongings and tying them in that piece of cloth.

Teacher

I tore up the letter into pieces and threw it away and said, "I don't want to go, I'll take up a job uptown and start earning like my brother and support my mother."

He stood behind me in his self-possessed, selfless posture with radiant blue eyes and an appealing smile which always conveyed, "No matter you fall, no matter you fail, no matter you get lost in any form of darkness of this world, I'll be there at your arms reach and I'll teach you how to rise, win and conquer the darkness."

He put his arm over my shoulder and said, "Let's take a walk and decide about what you are going to do now!"

My life's transformed after the conversation we had over that walk with my Guru, the man whom I adore, the man who taught me not to give up, the man who not only trained me for this game but also trained me for this world.

Now, after three years, I stand here on the podium of The Rashtrapathi Bhavan to be honoured with The Bronze Statuette of Arjuna, The Arjuna Award for my talent in Boxing and I see him standing in his self-possessed, selfless posture with radiant blue eyes and an appealing smile which still says, "No matter you fall, no matter you fail, no matter you get lost in any form of darkness of this world, I'll be there at your arms reach and I'll teach you how to rise, win and conquer the darkness."

"I cannot be with you anymore..!!

We've had a very good run for these many years and moving on is hard for me too.

I've held you, kissed you and've done a lot of things with you, but all that was fun.

I like you a lot, but I love her and she's my life now.

I'm sorry and good bye!" I said by trashing the last pack of my cigarettes and had a closure to my conflict.

The Moment I've been waiting for ..

12 comments :

I stood there holding my breath while my best friend, who's been with me through the thick and thin of my life put his hand on my shoulder and said "It's gonna be alright".

Everyone stood as she walked down the aisle with flowers in her hand, escorted by her father.

It felt like her each step poured some more oil of love in my heart, to beat faster and faster and faster.

She managed to smile while her eyes were still moist with happiness.

I've been waiting for this moment since the evening I went on my knees, holding a flower in one hand and a ring in the other and I said, "Rachel, my love, my life, my friend, will you marry me?"

Turning To Hell

The very sight of him sent a shiver across me.

He was moving in my direction with a axe in his hand.

I could neither run nor shout, but just pray for some help.

Suddenly I noticed the luminous sky turning dark, which I thought was in vain.

Then I heard the man who led their team say, "Let's cut down these trees tomorrow, it's about to rain."

I was no more Secure

6 comments :

Dauntlessly, they started crawling towards me, in an aspect that I shouldn't just flee.

Just a pile of flesh I was to them, which can be used, dishonored, passed, played, raped and killed.

I saw neither guilt nor any fear built, in their eyes.

Slowly, they started to quench the thirst and a cold-heartened evil among them said, “MOVE! I’LL BE THE FIRST”.

Though I was in a land having population more than a 100 crore, I was no more Secure.
