"I'm sorry honey, I was surrounded by people in the party and I did not notice the time." I said.
"Right! Surrounded by people." he nodded.
"Honey, I thought of calling you" he took his coat "after reaching home." I tried to explain.
"Good bye!" he said and this time he did not even give me a chance to ask if we can start this fresh.

DeleteMay be I have a different take, firstly if two people failed to have basic understanding what happened was surely a fate. Secondly, he calling it quits for a small reason as that not justified as such but his longing for her the whole day does, I value that emotion as there are people wouldn't care where and what their love is doing and thirdly if this was the fate am sure both would meet their betters in time to come!
